A funny incident happened during the recent IPL 2024 match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) which was played on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
A dog had invaded the pitch and was seen running on the ground. The incident had happened in the 15th over of the GT innings, when the uninvited guest marked its presence in the field. MI skipper Hardik Pandya was at his bowling and tried stopping him but his were efforts were of no use as the dog ran past him.
Meanwhile, the ground staff had to toil hard to get the dog away so that play could resume without much delay.
However, the Instagram account of account of ‘Street Dogs Of Bombay’ shared a video criticizing the way the security at IPL and the ground staff were kicking this dog, thus talking about how unfortunate animal abuse was.
The video of the helpless dog trying to evade being kicked and chased by the IPL ground staff was shared by Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan on his Instagram story.
He wrote, "Wtf a dog isn’t a football. Also, the dog isn’t biting or harming anyone. Regardless there has to be a better way."
