IPL 2024: “Don't think this will be his last season”- MS Dhoni’s friend Paramjit Singh on CSK captain’s future in IPL

MS Dhoni will captain CSK in IPL 2024 | BCCI-IPLMS Dhoni will be 42 years old when he leads the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming IPL 2024 tournament. CSK will defend its title when they face off against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the tournament opener on March 22 in Chepauk.

Dhoni had undergone knee surgery as the joint had troubled him during CSK’s winning run in IPL 2023. Since then, MS Dhoni has recovered and rehabbed well at his home in Ranchi and even began practice at the JSCA complex for his IPL return.

There has been a lot of speculation around MS Dhoni's future in the Indian Premier League with a lot of experts as well as fans saying that IPL 2024 can be the final season for the former Indian cricket team captain.

However, Dhoni’s childhood friend Paramjit Singh provided a huge update regarding his playing career. Dhoni was seen sporting Paramjit’s sports shop Prime Sports logo on his bat during practice as he wanted to spread the word about his friend’s shop this IPL season.

"I do not think this will be his (Dhoni's) last season. He is still fit. I think he will play one or two more seasons. He will definitely play one more season. The reason is he is fit," he told OneCricket.

During a recent interaction, Paramjit shed light on Dhoni's gesture for him. He also revealed that the veteran wicketkeeper-batter also gave him a signed bat.

"I'm feeling very proud! MS has always been there with us, that's our friendship. He's given me his signed bat," Paramjit told Sports Tak.
