Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has opened up about his potential return to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024).
Ashwin has been a crucial part of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) since 2022, and he was already retained by the franchise for the upcoming IPL 2024.
Well, it was a fan who asked the senior spinner about his return to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and he dropped a perfect googly on Instagram.

Recently, Ashwin posted a picture of himself standing in front of the Madras cricket club on Instagram, and an excited fan asked him, ‘When do we see you in yellow?’ and the Indian star played smart with the question.
Ashwin replied to the fan that only CSK skipper MS Dhoni could provide an answer to that. He wrote in a comment box: “Brother, should ask from MS Dhoni only.”
Meanwhile, Ashwin and Dhoni have a history of playing together in the IPL, with the Tamil Nadu spinner making his IPL debut under the legendary cricketer’s captaincy for CSK in 2008.
He played for CSK in the IPL till 2015, and even when the Rising Pune Supergiant came into play, they teamed up again in the following season during the suspension of CSK along with RR.
Unfortunately, Ashwin couldn't participate in the 2017 season due to an injury. Well, after that, Dhoni returned to CSK after a two-year ban in IPL 2018, while Ashwin did not make a comeback to the side.
Instead, Ashwin played for teams like the Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab), Delhi Capitals (DC), and RR in the IPL. However, Dhoni continues to lead CSK in the IPL.
