David Warner blocked by Sunrisers Hyderabad on social media; shares screenshots

Warner found himself blocked by SRH while trying to congratulate Travis Head.

David Warner | BCCI-IPLAustralia’s star opener David Warner has been blocked by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), whom he led to the title win in 2016.

Taking to Instagram, Warner shared screenshots of him being blocked by SRH as he looked to congratulate compatriot Travis Head after being signed by his old IPL team in the IPL 2024 auction.

The Hyderabad-based franchise shelled out Rs 6.80 Crore for Head in the auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Tuesday (December 19).

But, as Warner look to congratulate his Aussie teammate on social media, he got to know that SRH have blocked him.

Notably, Warner and SRH had a fall out a couple of seasons ago when the southpaw was sacked as captain in the middle of IPL 2021 before being left on the bench.

Ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad released David Warner and he was roped in by Delhi Capitals. The left-hander also led the Capitals during the 2023 edition in the absence of regular skipper Rishabh Pant.
