Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently taking on Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
CSK skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first. In the big game, Shubman Gill was once again looking in ominous touch but the GT opener’s stay at the crease was cut short by Dhoni’s brilliance behind the stumps.
During the seventh over of GT’s innings, Gill stretched forward to drive left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja but the ball turned away sharply and went past the edge of his bat.
In the process, Shubman’s back foot got dragged out of the crease and Dhoni’s lightning quick stumping sent the in-form batter packing for 39 off 20 balls.
