The closing ceremony was affected by the rains and the toss was delayed for numerous times due to rain.

The downpour relented for a few minutes at 9 pm IST, but soon started back and around 11 pm IST, the officials decided that there was no time left to get the ground ready even if rains stopped now and the match was postponed to Monday.

However, for fans, it was a throwback to bitter memories which reminded them of the 2019 ICC ODI World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand in Manchester.
