Just like the other seasons, the 2023 edition of the league has unearthed some fine talents in the batting and bowling departments.

Talking about the emerging stars, Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan impressed one and all with his exploits this season. The 21-year-old has scored 223 runs from six innings, including two fifties in IPL 2023 so far.

Impressed with his performance, Gujarat’s star spinner Rashid Khan has said that Sudharsan will play for India in the future.

“Sai Sudharsan is an unbelievable player! He’s going to be a very, very handy player, not just for Gujarat Titans, but for Team India in the future,” Rashid told Gaurav Kapur in Gujarat Titans weekly podcast.

“According to me, whatever I have seen of him, it’s not just the way he’s played this year, even last year from Day 1, from the time we first saw him in the nets, the way he’s batting, the way he’s batting, his mindset his preparation, his hard work, he is different. In the next few years, Sai Sudharsan will be a key player for Team India,” he added.

Rashid Khan also showered rich praise on Titan’s middle-order batter Abhinav Manohar, who is known for his clean striking and has scored 114 runs from six innings this season.

“The amount of talent that Abhinav has, the skills he has, we saw that last year itself. If he keeps playing like this for two or three years more, then he is going to be a different-level player. The way he thinks, the power he has, there’s no doubt about his talent,” he added.

Defending champions Gujarat Titans are due to face Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday (May 26).

The winner of Qualifier 2 will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash in Ahmedabad on Sunday (May 28).
