Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played a big part in his team’s 15-run win over Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023 which was played in Chennai on May 23, Tuesday.
Jadeja first contributed 22 runs to the CSK total of 172/7 which was possible mostly due to Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 60 and Devon Conway’s 40 and their 87-run opening partnership, after GT captain Hardik Pandya had won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Then, with the ball, Jadeja spun a web of mystery around GT batters picking 2/18 in his 4 overs including the wickets of Dasun Shanaka and dangerous David Miller, as CSK won the match by 15 runs by keeping GT to 157.
After the match, Jadeja was named the most valuable asset of the match for his all-round performance. He shared the photo of him receiving the award and posted a message which ruffled some feathers in CSK fandom.
Sharing a picture of him receiving the 'Upstox Most Valuable Asset Of the Match', Jadeja took a dig at fans, saying they don't know something that Upstox does.
Jadeja has been sharing cryptic posts on social media, making fans wonder if everything is alright between him and the franchise. His fresh post has emerged as another piece to the jigsaw.
Not too long ago, Jadeja's 'Karma' tweet had triggered wayward speculations on social media. Even his wife had reacted to the post.
However, his latest dig at the fans received huge backlash from CSK fans on Twitter.
