GT is coming into this crunch match by defeating and eliminating Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in the last league match of IPL 2023. In the match, opener Shubman Gill scored 104* his second consecutive century in the tournament, helping GT chase 197-run target with five balls to spare.

They posted a picture of Gill and captioned it, "Prince? He's already a King."
The post won fans' hearts and they reacted to the same as well on the social media platform. Some did take offense on Gill being called King, as they said that the only King is Virat Kohli and trolled LSG admin.
