Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are facing off against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a must-win clash at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday, May 11. Both teams came into the contest with 10 points from 11 matches, and need to win every game to qualify.
RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first and his decision was vindicated by his bowlers, particularly Trent Boult with the new ball as he dismissed the KKR openers Jason Roy (10) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (18) in his opening spell.
Both the wickets wouldn't have been possible though without the help of Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma, who took excellent catches.

Venkatesh Iyer (57) scored a fighting half-century but RR continued to keep the stranglehold on the proceedings as Yuzvendra Chahal spun a web, picking up 4/29 to become the leading wicket-taker in IPL history and the current purple cap holder.
KKR finished their innings at 149/8 and will have to bowl outstandingly well to prevent RR from chasing down the target on the high-scoring ground.
