Virat Kohli shares a very healthy camaraderie with MS Dhoni and it is not even a secret for cricket fans. Every now and then, the star India batter expressed his admiration for Dhoni, appreciating the former skipper for always standing by his side.

Recently, Dhoni gave a special mention to Kohli while delivering a speech in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) dressing room.

Although Dhoni has retired from international cricket in 2020, he continues to feature in the Indian Premier League. He is currently leading CSK in the 2023 edition of IPL.

After CSK’s 6-wicket win over Mumbai Indians (MI) at Chepauk on Saturday (May 6), Dhoni was heard talking about Kohli's batting style for a brief moment.

“Virat doesn’t play the first ball like this. It is always here," Dhoni can be heard speaking in the video that is going viral on the internet.

On the same day, Virat Kohli also featured in an IPL match for RCB against Delhi Capitals. In that match, Kohli added another feather to his illustrious cap as he became the first batter to get to the elusive 7000-run mark in the Indian Premier League.

He scored 55 off 46 balls to guide RCB to a strong 181/4. It was his sixth half-century from 10 innings in the ongoing IPL season. However, his half-century went in vain as DC chased down the target with seven wickets in hand and 20 balls to spare.
