The 51st match of the IPL 2023 saw the Gujarat Titans (GT) clashing against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on May 7th. GT came into this match as table toppers, while LSG are placed 3rd on the table.

Hardik Pandya, the captain of the GT was asked to bat first by his brother and LSG captain Krunal Pandya.

He revealed that Alzarri Joseph came in for Josh Little who had gone to join the Ireland team for the Bangladesh ODIs. On the other hand, Krunal Pandya revealed that Quinton de Kock was playing his first game in this IPL.

Gujarat Titans got a massive opening partnership as Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill hammered the LSG bowlers to all parts of the Motera Stadium. The duo added 142 runs for the first wicket in just 12.3 overs.

Saha was the aggressor as he hammered 10 fours and 4 sixes in his 43-ball 81-run stay and got out trying to hit another ball into the orbit off Avesh Khan and was caught by Prerak Mankad.

His knock was not only lauded by his teammates and the crowd present in the ground, but even Virat Kohli posted a story on his Instagram account, to praise the keeper-batter.

Not only Kohli, but, a few others praised Saha for his selfless knock.
