The Gautam Gambhir-Virat Kohli spat that happened in the recent Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) clash in the ongoing IPL 2023 is still making headlines days after it occurred.
The aggravated incident took place after the match was over, and every player had to shake hands and leave the field. It was noted that Virat Kohli was quite agitated when the LSG players were getting dismissed during the match.
The last time the two teams clashed, Gambhir was seen showing a ‘keep mum’ sign to the crowd in Chinnaswamy stadium.
While some are feeling that Kohli’s reaction was in reply to what Gambhir did when LSG defeated RCB in Bengaluru; many feel that Gambhir had crossed a line when he confronted Kohli.
The altercation started between Virat and Naveen-Ul-Haq that later got dragged and got between the two Delhi-born cricketers.
The fans have gotten involved as well as Gautam Gambhir was being trolled by some fans on the ground after the altercation by chanting Kohli’s name.
A video that has gone viral on Twitter, shows fans chanting “Kohli, Kohli” as Gambhir and Amit Mishra are seen walking inside the pavilion, presumably after their match against Chennai Super Kings was called off due to rains.
Gambhir glares at the fans chanting Kohli’s name and then stops for a second to have a good look, before entering the pavilion.
