IPL 2023: WATCH- Virat Kohli’s unreal comeback after getting beaten twice by Mohammed Siraj in nets

RCB will next face KKR at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 26.

Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj dueled in nets ahead of RCB v KKR game | RCB TwitterVirat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj engaged in an intense duel as they geared up for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB high-octane IPL 2023 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 26, 2023.

Siraj has been RCB's top bowler this season with 13 wickets already from seven matches, including 3/22 against Lucknow Super Giants and 4/21 against Punjab Kings. Kohli, on the other hand, has piled 279 runs with four half-centuries and is placed fifth in the Orange Cap list.

The two in-form RCB stars squared off in the nets and their duel was proper entertaining stuff. Siraj began by beating Kohli twice, once outside off and the second time, leaving Kohli a bit ruffled. The RCB batter even nodded his head in acknowledgment.

But then Kohli took a fresh guard and decimated Siraj by playing some amazing shots. One was a six hit straight over the bowler’s head, reminding fans of a particular shot he hit in the T20 World cup last year.

He kept hitting the ball in the air and Siraj had nothing but respect for the veteran batter and his ability to comeback after getting beaten.

"The way I operate in the Powerplay, I stuck to the same approach. When the ball is new, obviously there is some swing. After that, we all know what King Kohli is capable of when he is in form. He smashed me all over the Chinnaswamy," said Siraj.
