Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered a narrow seven-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (April 23).
It was a high-scoring affair, in which the hosts piled up 189/9 on the board while RR managed to post 182/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
During the match, RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj lost his cool after teammate Mahipal Lomror’s failed run-out attempt. However, there is no love lost between the two players.
After the game, Siraj was seen apologizing to Lomror for his rude behaviour. "I am so sorry Mahipal. I have apologised twice already. I don't carry the aggression off the field. It's all calm down post-match," the right-arm pacer said in a video posted by RCB on Twitter.
In reply, Lomror said, "It's alright Siraj Bhai. Bade bade matchon mai aise choti choti baatein hoti rahti hai (Such small things keep happening in such big matches)."
Coming to the match, Glenn Maxwell starred with the bat for RCB and earned the Player-of-the-Match award as he scored 77 off 44 balls. RCB’s regular skipper Faf du Plessis, who played this game as an Impact Player, also played a stunning knock of 39-ball 62.
Harshal Patel was the stand-bowler for the home team, returning with the figures of 3 for 32 in his four-over spell.
