Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered a narrow seven-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (April 23).
It was a high-scoring affair, in which the hosts piled up 189/9 on the board while RR managed to post 182/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
During the match, RCB’s stand-in skipper Virat Kohli got out for a golden duck but he looked in his elements while fielding.
Kohli’s celebration after the dismissal of RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal became the talk of the town. It happened in the 14th over of the second innings as Harshal Patel bowled a slower one and Jaiswal went for the big one, looking to clear the long on boundary but instead found Virat in the deep.
After completing the catch, Virat Kohli turned back and blew a flying kiss, which was directed towards his wife Anushka Sharma, who was in attendance at the venue. Kohli’s celebration immediately went viral on the internet.
