IPL 2023: WATCH- MS Dhoni’s shadow batting makes Deepak Chahar leave his seat in fear during the RCB v CSK match

CSK defeated RCB by 8 runs thanks to brilliant fifties from Devon Conway and Shivam Dube.

MS Dhoni and Deepak Chahar | JioCinemaDeepak Chahar was seen fleeing in fear as he was afraid that MS Dhoni would hit him with the bat as he was doing shadow practice while waiting for his turn to bat in the recent Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 17 in Bengaluru.

The match saw the yellow army come out victors by 8 runs in an encounter that saw 33 sixes being hit in total by both sides.

CSK was asked to bat first by RCB captain Faf du Plessis and thanks to 83 from Devon Conway and a whirlwind 52 from Shivam Dube and 37 from Ajinkya Rahane, the MS Dhoni-led side put on 226/6 in 20 overs.

During the CSK innings, the Chennai captain was spotted shadow-practicing before stepping out onto the field for his knock. And while Dhoni had his focus completely on his practice, he did not notice Chahar sitting right there as the bat swung past the latter's head.

However, it was enough to spook Deepak Chahar, who stood up and moved away from his seat while keeping an eye on Dhoni’s swinging bat.

Here is the video:

In the chase, despite losing Virat Kohli for 6 and Mahipal Lomror for a duck, Faf du Plessis (62) and Glenn Maxwell (76) and their 126-run partnership threatened to pull off the chase successfully, but the CSK bowlers bounced back nicely as RCB was restricted to 218/8 in 20 overs.

As for Chahar, he injured his hamstring again in a match against MI in the ongoing IPL 2023 and has been ruled out for a decent amount of time.
