IPL 2023: WATCH- Shivam Dube hits a massive 111m six off Harshal Patel; ball lands on roof of stadium

Shivam Dube hit 5 sixes in his 27-ball 52-run knock | IPL-BCCIThe 24th match of the IPL 2023 saw Shivam Dube of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hitting a massive six against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 17, 2023, with the match being played at the MA Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Faf du Plessis of RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first on a typical Bengaluru pitch. Mohammed Siraj accounted for Ruturaj Gaikwad early.

Then Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane got the CSK innings back on track with an entertaining 74-run partnership for the second wicket. Ajinkya Rahane fell for 37 runs in 20 balls which had 2 sixes and 3 fours in his knock.

Devon Conway fell for 83 runs in 45 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes and in walked Shivam Dube on no.4 and got the better of RCB bowlers from the go. Firstly, he hit Glenn Maxwell for a big 101m six that hit the roof of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

However, the awe-smacking moment came in the 13th over when on the second ball, Harshal Patel aimed for a slower yorker but got his length wrong. For Dube, it became a full toss and the left-hander muscled it over the long-on fielder onto the roof of the stadium.

The graphic showed that the ball went 111 meters into orbit.

Dube fell for 52 in just 27 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours to his name, while CSK finished on 226/6 in 20 overs.
