Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh had lauded Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for his match-winning performance in his team’s victory over the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their recent most match in the IPL 2023.

Jadeja’s 3/20 played a huge role in restricting MI, who batted first after CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl, to a below-par total of 157/8. Apart from him, Mitchell Santner and Tushar Deshpande took two wickets apiece.

Speaking to Star Sports, Harbhajan called Jadeja a superhero, while adding that he can turn the match in his team’s favor at any time. Jadeja picked up three wickets and gave away just 20 runs in his four overs, while also taking a magnificent catch to dismiss Cameron Green.

“Ravindra Jadeja is a superhero in the true sense. He can turn the match in his team's favor anytime with the ball or the bat. Not everyone can take the catch he took of Cameron Green. He is such a special player,” said Harbhajan.

Harbhajan Singh was also praiseful of Ajinkya Rahane’s knock, who made 61 in 27 balls including a 19-ball half-century.

“There are no words to praise this knock from Rahane. This inning is going to be will be remembered for years as Rahane has shown his true class. We had all forgotten about his batting style, but now we have a clear idea of his class,” Harbhajan added.

CSK moved to the no.4 spot in IPL 2023 points table, while MI is yet to open their account in the winner’s column. This was also CSK's first win at the Wankhede Stadium against their arch-rivals after 5 years, with their last victory coming in April 2018.
