Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has been in very good form off late as he ended his century drought in international cricket in the last year and recently also hit his first Test ton since November 2019.
He also stared the IPL 2023 on a scintillating note as well, as he slammed a brilliant 82* in RCB’s opening match of the tournament against Mumbai Indians (MI) at their home ground of M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
In a latest video posted by RCB on their social media, Virat Kohli is seen in conversation with mascot Mr. Nags and delved into poetry - resulting in some inspiring words.
Asked to write few lines with some particular words, Kohli dished out some inspiring poetry that reflected his journey in the last couple of years.
Kohli was given four words to work with - Trip, Tide, Man and 49 and was asked to write a few lines. Kohli asked the cameras to be switched off while he does it and the results were magical.
He wrote: ”Fulfill your desire, ignite the fire. Bat through tough times, sometimes its 263, sometimes 49. Life can put you in a pickle, laugh through like it’s a tickle, whether you get a hundred or a duck, life goes on, don’t get stuck.
There is no map, Ride the tide, you are your own guide.”
Here is the video:
Kohli opened up on being under a lot of stress in the last few seasons and said that he did not even appreciate the beauty of the the hotel that he was staying in, in the last few years.
RCB have travelled to Kolkata for their next match and will take on KKR on 6 April.
