The duo of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis added 148 runs for the opening wicket. Arshad Khan broke the partnership by removing the RCB captain for 73 off 43 balls.

At the time of writing this article, Kohli was batting on 72* off 47 balls with RCB needing 23 more runs in 26 balls to seal the chase.
