The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is yet to officially begin, but the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have already welcomed their fans back to their stadium, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru.

Since the upcoming IPL 2023 is set to return to its original home and away format, RCB didn’t take much time to delight its fans, as the franchise hosted a special 'RCB Unbox' event at their home venue to enable the fans to watch their favourite stars in person after a long gap of three years.

The RCB hosted a special 'RCB Unbox' event in Bengaluru on Sunday (March 26), which gave fans a chance to see a full training session of the RCB team from the stands. The event was also attended by the Proteas great AB de Villiers and the 'Universe Boss' Chris Gayle.

Meanwhile, the former RCB star De Villiers delighted the Bengaluru crowd by saying the iconic "Ee Sala Cup Namde" line as he was addressing the jam-packed Chinnaswamy Stadium during the event.

The video of Villiers saying the famous line went viral on social media and won the hearts of RCB fans across the world.

Notably, Gayle and De Villiers were given a special honour by the RCB at the 'RCB Unbox' event, where they were formally inducted into the 'RCB Hall of Fame'.

The duo became the first two members to receive the special honour from the RCB. Even Gayle and De Villiers’ jersey numbers (17 and 333) were retired by the RCB to honour their contribution to the team over the years in the IPL.
