IPL 2023: WATCH- MS Dhoni uses blowtorch to renew the paint of plastic chairs in Chepauk stands

This includes the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) who will play in front of fans in Chepauk for the first time with MS Dhoni leading the team.

This season of IPL is often considered possibly as MS Dhoni’s last outing in the richest and most popular T20 league in the world. The 41-year-old has won four IPL titles for the yellow army and during the last IPL in 2022, he had said that he couldn’t retire before saying goodbye to his fans in Chennai and across the country.

Meanwhile, though CSK play their first match on March 31 against Gujarat Giants in Ahmedabad in IPL 2023 opener, their first home match will be on April 3rd when they clash with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The MA Chidambaram Stadium was renovated with new stands and better spectator-friendly facilities ahead of the 3rd ODI of a recently-concluded India vs Australia series. For the first time in close to a decade, CSK fans will also be able to use the I, J and K stands which were opened after years of legal issues.

In an interesting video shared by CSK on their social media, MS Dhoni was seen using a blow torch to revive the plastic chairs in the stand and give them a new look.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni will captain the CSK in this IPL 2023 as well and has been training hard at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. With videos of him hitting massive sixes going viral, fans are hoping for a bumper outing from the keeper-batter.
