Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) revealed their jersey for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday. The official Twitter handle of the franchise took to social media to reveal the new jersey.
The video shared on social media features KKR stars like Andre Russell, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, and Mandeep Singh amongst others. The team has not strayed away from its usual purple and gold colors but has a few new sponsors adorning the jersey.
Kolkata Knight Riders will start its IPL 2023 campaign against Punjab Kings on April 1 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. On April 6, they will be playing their first match at the home arena of Eden Gardens, Kolkata against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The KKR will look to better their seventh-place finish in IPL 2022 especially after they had made the finals in IPL 2021.
However, they will most likely be without their skipper Shreyas Iyer for atleast the first half of the tournament, as the talented batter battles with a lower back injury and is contemplating whether to undergo the knife or not keeping in mind the upcoming World Cup 2023.
