IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals unveil new-look jersey for the upcoming IPL 16 season

David Warner will captain DC in IPL 2023 | BCCI-IPLDelhi Capitals (DC) will have a lot of new things going for them when it comes to the upcoming IPL 2023 as they will have a new captain in place and have unveiled a new look jersey for the upcoming season as well.

DC captain Rishabh Pant had met with a near-fatal accident in December 2022 while traveling to his home from Delhi and suffered some serious injuries, including one to his right knee. This led to him spending quite a lot of time in the hospital in Dehradun, before moving to Mumbai and undergoing surgery for his knee.

Now he is rehabbing at home while undergoing physiotherapy to get back on his feet without crutches.

The injuries have ruled Pant out of action for a year at least as per reports and he'll miss the IPL 202.

The Delhi Capitals management had to find a new captain for their franchise and after mulling their options, the DC decided to hand the reins to IPL 2016 winner David Warner and made Akshar Patel the vice-captain.

And with this new leadership, the DC decided to have a fresh start to their IPL 2023 as they unveiled a new look jersey as well. The new design sees the two prominent DC colors of red and blue merging together with the bright red forming the sleeves and shoulders, while the blue covers the remainder of the jersey.

The red stands for the team’s on-field courage whereas the blue symbolizes balance and composure. The tiger continues to be part of the team’s logo.
