IPL 2023: MI and CSK- List of released and retained players

MI will have a purse of INR 20.55 crs, while CSK will have 20.45 crs in their kitty

Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo | BCCI-IPLOn November 15, 2022, all of the ten Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises unveiled the list of players that they had retained and released ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

MUMBAI INDIANS

The first to announce their released list and retentions were five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI). The biggest news was Kieron Pollard retiring from the IPL and joining MI as their batting coach. They released a total of 13 players including 5 overseas ones including names such as Jaydev Unadkat, Daniel Sams, M Ashwin, Anmolpreet Singh, and more.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

The four-time champions Chennai Super Kings parted ways with their ace all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and England’s Chris Jordan. Robin Uthappa retired from cricket after last season. Ravindra Jadeja was retained by the franchise, which will be captained by MS Dhoni.
