Defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) have traded fast bowler Lockie Ferguson of New Zealand and wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the IPL 2023 season.

Ferguson was bought by GT for ₹10 crore in the mega player auction and bowled the fastest delivery (157.3 kmph) of the 2022 season, picking up 12 wickets from 13 matches with an economy rate of 8.96. He was previously with KKR from 2019-21 and took 21 wickets from 18 matches for the two-time winners.

Gurbaz, was included by Titans in their roster after England opener Jason Roy did not show up. He didn't get any opportunities to play with the team preferring to play Wriddhiman Saha and Matthew Wade.

On Saturday (November 12), Royal Challengers Bangalore traded Jason Behrendorff to Mumbai Indians. More transfers are expected in the next couple of days with the retention window set to close on November 15.
