Australian fast bowler, Jason Behrendorff, has been traded to Mumbai Indians (MI) from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the player auction next month for the IPL 2023 season.

He had been picked up at his base price of ₹75 lakhs by RCB in the 2022 mega player auction.

The 32-year-old had previously played for MI in 2019, picking up five wickets from as many matches. He has since then moved to Chennai Super Kings (2021) and RCB (2022) but did not feature in any games for both franchises.

The Aussie has represented his country in 9 T20Is, with a total of 7 wickets and a best of 4/21. He has also taken 16 wickets in 12 ODIs for Australia.

The retention window will close on November 15, and more announcements on the same are expected in the next few days. The player auction is reportedly set to be held in Kochi on December 23.
