IPL 2023: Ryan ten Doeschate joins KKR as fielding coach; James Foster promoted to assistant coach

KKR had appointed Chandrakant Pandit as their head coach.

James Foster will be KKR assistant coach | KKRRyan ten Doeschate, a South Africa-born former Netherlands player is all set to reunite with his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), this time as their fielding coach ahead of IPL 2023. He will be the team's new fielding coach and replace James Foster, who has been promoted as an assistant coach.

Earlier, KKR had appointed Chandrakant Pandit as their head coach in August.

Ten Doeschate (42), a former KKR player who was part of the title-winning squads of 2012 and 2014, could also be involved in a role in the franchise's subsidiary in the UAE League (ILT20). He will be an assistant coach for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders side.

Ten Doeschate announced his retirement from international cricket last year and has also completed his stint with the Essex side in English County Cricket.

We are delighted that James Foster has taken on more responsibility in his new role as Assistant Coach and he will be a great resource for the Head Coach, Chandu Pandit, along with Abhishek Nayar, Assistant Coach, Bharat Arun, bowling coach & Omkar Salvi assistant bowling coach,” KKR CEO Venky Mysore said.

Tendo played an important role as a player from 2011-14 and in the two championships the KKR won in 2012 & 2014 and has been a genuine supporter of KKR all these years.” a statement from KKR said.
