The IPL 2022 came to an exciting close with the Gujarat Titans (GT) defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) to win the trophy in their maiden tournament, capping off an excellent first outing for the Ahmedabad-based franchise, led by Hardik Pandya.
The tournament was filled with national and international stars lighting up the IPL 2022 which was played in front of the crowd in stadiums across Maharashtra, In Kolkata, and Ahmedabad for the first time since IPL 2019.
Apart from established stars of the game, there were some youngsters who grabbed the opportunity they got and ran with it showcasing the talent they have in abundance.
Keeping this in mind, Team COC presents the Best uncapped XI of IPL 2022
The openers of this Uncapped IPL 2022 XI cannot be better than RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma. Both were excellent in their own rights at the top of the innings, with Jaiswal scoring 258 runs in 10 matches with 2 fifties at a strike rate of 132.98.
Abhishek, on the other hand, got to open for the first time for SRH and made the most of it, scoring 426 runs in 14 matches with the best score of 75 and with a strike rate of 133.12. He had to take the pressure of scoring quick runs in power-play overs with Kane Williamson unable to fine form throughout the tournament.
Rahul Tripathi was another batter who shined a lot when given a chance to bat up the order and made 413 runs for SRH at no.3 with 3 fifties and the best score of 76 at an excellent strike rate of 158.23 and was perhaps the best SRH batter in the tournament.

Rajat Patidar lit up the playoffs with an amazing 112* against Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator. He was brought in by RCB as a replacement player and went on to make 333 runs in 8 matches with 2 fifties as well with a strike rate of 152.75.
19-year-old Tilak Varma was probably the find of the tournament as far as batters are concerned as he stood out with his maturity and excellence. He made 397 runs in 14 matches for MI in what was an abysmal tournament for the five-time champions. Tilak made his runs at a strike rate of 131.02.
Punjab Kings had many wicketkeepers to choose from but the best one proved to be Jitesh Sharma, who was not only brilliant with the gloves behind the stumps, he was too good as a finisher with the bat. He made 234 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 163.63 with 12 sixes and 22 fours.
Rahul Tewatia will be still waiting for his India cap, but he still proved that when someone is given a defined role, it helps them excel in it and he did the same for Gujarat Titans as their designated finisher.

Tewatia made 217 runs in 16 matches, but those runs came in crunch situations like him hitting two sixes in two balls when 12 runs were needed off the last 2 balls to win against PBKS and then a similar knock against SRH. His strike rate was 147.61, enough for him to bail GT out of some precarious situations.
R Sai Kishore only played 5 matches for GT but left a brilliant impression with 6 wickets at an economy of 7.56 despite going against some of the best hitters in the game.
Mohsin Khan was excellent for LSG with 14 wickets in just 9 matches. The left-arm pacer even touched speeds up to 150 plus occasionally and had an economy of 5.96. He bowled in death overs with excellent accuracy.
Arshdeep Singh may not have picked many wickets for PBKS in IPL 2022, but his 10 wickets came at an economy of just 7.70 while bowling at death precisely and he was rewarded for this by getting his maiden India call-up.
Joining him in the Indian squad for the home T20I series against South Africa will be speed demon, Umran Malik. Malik captured the imagination of everyone this season, after showing a teaser in IPL 2021.

In IPL 2022, Malik played 14 matches and picked 22 wickets which included a five-wicket haul and a spell of four wickets in one over. He clocked over 145 consistently and won the fastest ball of the match awards in all 14 matches he played. His fastest ball was clocked at 157 kph and was only beaten by Lockie Ferguson in the final with delivery at 157.3 kph.
