IPL 2022: Cricket fraternity reacts as Hardik Pandya shines with 3/17 as GT restricts RR to 130/9 in final

Hardik Pandya's 3/17 was his best bowling figures in IPL ever.

Pandya celebrates getting wicket of Buttler | BCCI-IPLThe IPL 2022 final saw Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) clashing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29 in front of a crowd of more than 1 lakh 4 thousand fans watching from the stands.

RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl first. RR went in unchanged, while GT made one change as Lockie Ferguson replaced Alzarri Joseph in the XI.

For GT, their captain shined with the ball, as RR failed to find any momentum. This is despite Yashasvi Jaiswal making 22 in 16 balls with one four and 2 sixes and Jos Buttler making 39 in 35 balls with 5 fours.

However, Hardik Pandya broke the back of the RR batting as he snared the wickets of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and then Shimron Hetmyer for 11 runs and finished with figures of 3/17 in his 4 overs.

Sai Kishore picked 2/20, while Rashid Khan bowled in middle overs for 1/18 in his 4 overs, as they kept things tight not letting RR get any room to free their arms.

RR finished on 130/9 in 20 overs as a result.

The cricket fraternity was all praises for Hardik Pandya for his excellent outing with the ball on Twitter.
