IPL 2022: Fans extend support to Mohammed Siraj after he faces online abuse post RCB’s exit from IPL 15

Siraj went for 31 runs in his two overs in Qualifier 2 against RR.

Mohammed Siraj | BCCI/IPLRoyal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday (May 27) were knocked out of the IPL 2022 with a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

After the defeat, RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj faced the wrath of the trolls on social media. He had a forgetful outing against RR as he was smashed for 31 runs in his two overs.

Siraj was one of the three players retained by RCB ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auction. However, he failed to live up to the expectations, claiming only 9 wickets in 15 matches at an economy rate of 10.07.

As RCB couldn’t lift the title once again, fans on social media targeted the fast bowler and held him accountable for the disappointing exit.

However, there were also some fans who extended their support to Siraj and backed him to come good next season.
