IPL 2022: Twitter flooded with posts mocking RCB’s 'Ee Sala Cup namde' slogan after their another trophyless season

RCB lost to RR in the IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 and were knocked out of the tournament.

RCB endured another trophyless IPL season | BCCI/IPLRoyal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) failed to clinch the IPL trophy in what was their first season under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis.

In the IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 match at Ahmedabad, RCB suffered a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and were knocked out of the cash-rich tournament on Friday (May 27).

In fifteen years of the tournament, the Bangalore-based franchise is yet to lift the coveted title. This year, the team looked composed as they won 8 out of their league 14 matches before beating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator.

However, RCB’s batting line-up failed to rise to the occasion in Qualifier 2, managing to post a modest 157/8 in 20 overs, which RR chased down with 11 balls to spare on the back of Jos Buttler’s century (106* off 60 balls).

After the result, the social media was flooded with sarcastic posts mocking RCB’s slogan 'Ee Sala Cup naamde' (this year the cup is ours) and their huge fandom.
