Former Indian legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh heaped praises for the three-time IPL finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), saying that he has a feeling that this IPL 2022 is the year when the red army can finally lift the trophy, putting an end to their more than a decade-long wait.
RCB has featured in all the 15 seasons of the IPL but hasn’t managed to win the trophy yet. They reached the finals three times - in 2009, 2011, and 2016, only to face defeat in all of them.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh said that he believes that the red-army has a significant chance of lifting the coveted trophy this year. He also said that Virat Kohli's franchise has a great squad to make it happen, and also said that his gut feeling was pointing in the same direction.
Ahead of the Qualifier 2 between RCB and RR, Harbhajan said that RCB is a strong contender not only to reach the final but to clinch the trophy as well.

The 41-year-old spinner told Sportskeeda: "This RCB team has very good players. When you see their batting line-up or bowling line-up, there are players who can win the trophy for them. I have a gut feeling that RCB will go all the way this season. And if they do, they’ll probably lift the cup."
The Faf du Plessis-led side is all set to face the Royals in Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 27. Whoever comes out victorious in this contest will face the Gujarat Titans in the IPL final on 29th May.
Harbhajan opined that RCB will come hard at their opponents, as they have fought tough battles and have come from behind to reach the playoffs. He added that RCB needs to keep playing with the same attitude that they have exhibited not only in the IPl 2022 eliminator match but throughout the tournament.
"RCB need to continue having the faith and belief that they can do it. They have got the team. They just have to come and play like one unit. It will come down to the individuals - how badly they need it (victory). They need to approach it (Qualifier 2) as another game. Remember, they have come from behind and it is difficult to stop a team that has come from behind," he said.
