He top-scored for them with 460 runs in 14 matches with 3 fifties to his name. However, the Mayank Agarwal-led side was not able to conjure a string of victories in the tournament and couldn’t make it into the playoffs.

They did manage to end their IPL 2022 on a high, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final league match to finish on the 6th spot in the points table.

Dhawan was bought at the IPL 2022 auction by PBKS for INR 8.25 crores after playing two seasons for Delhi Capitals. Many had expected Dhawan to captain the PBKS side as well given his experience, but the management gave the responsibility to Mayank Agarwal.

However, the side couldn’t build momentum in the tournament winning one and losing one game alternately.

Now Shikhar Dhawan, who is quite popular on social media for his funny and witty posts, shared a video involving his father which has gone viral for its content. In the video, Shikhar can be seen getting hit by his father for not qualifying for the playoffs while other members try to stop the senior Dhawan, including a uniformed officer.

He captioned the post: “Knock out by my dad for not qualifying for knock outs.”
