Bollywood actor Aamir Khan expressed his desire to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that it’ll be an honour for him to play under MS Dhoni.
Chennai Super Kings have been the heavyweights in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Having won the title 4 times, the MS Dhoni-led side is the second most successful side in the history of the marquee tournament.
Apart from two bad seasons in the league, they have created the record of qualifying for the playoffs in every season. Over the years, the Men in Yellow have displayed sensational performances in the IPL and have created many records, giving fans everything to cheer about.
It’s fair to say that Dhoni has been the main reason behind them being one of the most-loved franchises in the league. The keeper-batter has arguably been one of the best finishers in the history of the game. He has many times won the match for his side in crunch situations and is the main architect behind CSK’s success in the league.
Speaking in the video posted on the Twitter account of CSK’s fan page, Aamir Khan showed his love for ‘Whistle Podu Army’ and fans for expressing their desire to see him playing for CSK.
"All my love to the Whistle Podu army and all CSK fans. Thank you so much. You guys felt that I could be in your team and that was a big honour. I was very moved and touched. Thank you for your love," Aamir Khan said.

The Bollywood superstar said it will be his "honour" to play under MS Dhoni's tutelage. He recalled how he felt "there's a storm brewing inside" the former India captain when he first saw him and said it was "good news" that Dhoni will return for IPL 2023.
"It will be an honour to play in yellow. It will be an honour for me to play under Mahi. I am a huge fan of his and the first time I saw him, I felt, here's a guy who is calm on the exterior, but there's a storm brewing inside, which you can't see.
“The good news is that he said he's going to play next season. You all can see me in the nets and if I'm good enough, then I'm expecting you all to really start whistling," he said.
IPL 2022 was a horrendous campaign for the CSK. The Dhoni-led side managed only four wins this season and finished 9th on the points table. The keeper-batter also confirmed that he’ll play next season.
