Rajasthan Royals (RR) finished on the second spot on the IPL 2022 points table after they defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last league stage match and pushed Lucknow Super Giants to the third spot.
This meant that they will now play Gujarat Titans (GT) in the first qualifier of the IPL 15 on May 24 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and will have two chances to make it into the IPL 2022 finals.
However, they didn’t expect that their welcome into the ‘City of Joy’ would be this dramatic. The Royals’ flight got into severe turbulence while reaching Kolkata, which turned out to be a scary experience for all who were aboard.
Kolkata has been hit with severe thunderstorms over the weekend that has affected life in the city. The video shared by RR on their social media channels showed how the fun trip from Mumbai to Kolkata turned into a nightmare as smoke filled the cabin and later light went out as well.
The players and staff were quite shaken as they deboarded in Kolkata.
