Veteran Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli is an ardent WWE fan. He has time and again shown his love for WWE during the field of play either through actions or words.
On Thursday (May 19), Kohli once again gave a glimpse of his love for WWE during RCB's IPL 2022 clash against Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium.
The former RCB skipper recreated WWE legend The Undertaker's iconic 'throat-slash' sign at Shubman Gill just when the GT opener walked out to bat alongside Wriddhiman Saha.
Here’s the video:
This is not the first time Virat Kohli has come up with an Undertaker reference in this year’s IPL. After RCB’s 18-run win over LSG on April 19, Kohli had compared RCB's comeback in the match to The Undertaker's resurgence.
"Beautiful. Under the pump again and you come back again. We are like The Undertaker," Kohli had told his teammates Glenn Maxwell and captain Faf du Plessis.
Notably, Kohli played a key role with the bat in RCB’s eight-wicket victory over GT. He returned to form by slamming 54-ball 73 to help RCB chase down GT’s target of 169 in 18.4 overs.
With this victory, RCB moved to the fourth spot on the points table and kept their IPL 2022 playoffs hopes alive.
