Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli revealed the hilarious conversation he had with Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Jos Buttler earlier in the IPL 2022 season.
Kohli is certainly not having the best of times in the ongoing Indian Premier League. The former RCB skipper has so far looked very ordinary and failed to set the stage on the fire as he would’ve wanted to.
Before RCB’s match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Thursday (19th May), Kohli had looked miserably out of touch as he only had 236 runs in the season with three golden ducks and a solitary half-century to his name. However, there was some light for him at the end of the big tunnel as he stood tall for his side in their must-win encounter against GT.

Kohli scored 73 runs and looked in good touch and helped his side to be in the race of playoffs. On the other hand, Buttler has looked class apart this season.
The keeper-batter is the highest run-getter in the league so far and is most likely to end the tournament as the Orange Cap holder. Buttler has so far scored with 627 runs, including 3 hundred and 3 fifties, at an average and strike rate of 52.25 and 148.22 respectively.
In a chat with Harbhajan Singh on Star Sports, Virat Kohli revealed that Jos Buttler came to him after the match between RCB and RR and said that he wanted to ask him something.
To which, the RCB batter said that why would the Orange Cap holder would want to ask him, who’s not scoring runs.
"Jos Butler came to me, after the Rajasthan Royals match and said I want to ask you something and I told him that you're wearing the Orange Cap what do you want to ask me, I am not able to make runs - and we had a laugh about it,” Virat Kohli said.
Both RR and RCB are fighting for their place in the playoffs. While a win would ensure the Sanju Samson-led side a place in the playoffs and even if they lose they are most likely to qualify, RCB are dependent on Mumbai Indians (MI) to defeat Delhi Capitals (DC).
