Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), in a must-win game for them in IPL 2022, clashed against the Gujarat Titans (GT) who have already qualified for the playoffs at the Wankhede Stadium on May 19.
GT captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat first.
However, his decision came back to bite him, as GT lost the wicket of Shubman Gill early for the score of 1 run in 4 balls. After Wriddhiman Saha started off in flying colors, hitting 14 runs off the first over by Siddharth Kaul, Josh Hazlewood in the third over, got Shubman Gill to edge one.

The edge went way wide of Glenn Maxwell who was stationed at the first slip, but he dived full length and plucked the ball singlehandedly out of thin air.

RCB has 14 points from 13 matches and needs to win this match to stay alive in the IPL 2022 playoffs race. They will also want to better their net run rate and their fate also depends on the result of the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) match as well.
