Former Sri Lankan skipper and current head coach of Rajasthan Royals (RR) Kumar Sangakkara was asked during a brief interaction with RR bowling coach Lasith Malinga on Thursday, who would he select to bat for his life.
Without much of a hesitation, Sangakkara took the name of former Indian skipper, Rahul Dravid.
In a video posted on Rajasthan Royals’ official Instagram, Kumar Sangakkara was having an interactive session with the franchise’s present fast-bowling coach, Lasith Malinga.

Upon receiving the question, Sangakkara replied, “Rahul Dravid, he’s unbelievable in that role. The Wall’, there is a reason for that name."
Rahul Dravid, often regarded as one of the greatest batters in the history of the game, has always been praised by cricket fans and experts alike. Previously, Brian Lara had also said that if he had to choose someone to bat for his life, it would be Rahul Dravid.
Now Kumar Sangakkara has also picked up ‘Mr. Dependable’ for the job of batting for his life.
