England wicket-keeper batter Sam Billings was impressive during the 61st match of the ongoing IPL 2022 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 14.

Apart from contributing 34 runs, Billings also produced some eye-catching performance with the gloves and on the field to help KKR beat SRH by 54 runs at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

After the match, Billings also impressed one and all with his imitation skills as well, as he nailed the impersonation of commentator and former New Zealand pacer Danny Morrison during an interaction with his KKR teammate Andre Russell for the official website of the IPL.

Starting the conversation in Morrison's mannerisms, Billings asked, “Danny Morrison here with the big guy, Muscle Russell main man yet again, how are you going?”

To which, Russell responded: “Well, it was a tremendous night for us, thanks Danny [both laugh]. Must win the game and we definitely pulled through tonight so happy happy night.”

After the light conversation, Russell and Billings talked about their respective mindsets, especially in must-win games like the last match against the SRH.

Russell said, “(I) Try to give myself a chance but with a clear mindset. If the first ball is there to hit, (I am) definitely gonna try and get a boundary. It was a good start getting a partnership with you as well and I really enjoyed tonight even with the ball as well so (it was a) happy night.”

While, Billings said, “It's been a long month since I last played so. I just struggled for a little bit of rhythm, something which you have said, Sunny (Sunil Narine) has said a couple of times, especially with wickets which get a bit of worn. It's about giving yourself a chance, getting the rhythm, and then it will get easier. It's always easier for you when you face 20 balls than some guy coming in new.”

The New Zealand commentator also responded to Billings' imitation of him and tweeted: "Showing the love.. God we need some of late"
