IPL 2022: Match 63, LSG v RR- COC Predicted Playing XIs

RR got better of LSG in their previous encounter.

RR got better of LSG in their previous encounter | BCCI-IPLThe 63rd match of the IPL 2022 will see Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clashing with Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Brabourne Stadium in Pune on May 15, 2022, in the second match of the last double-header of the tournament.

Lucknow Super Giants are second on the points table with 16 points from 12 games and a win against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday will see them through to the playoffs. RR, on the other hand, can ill-afford a loss here as then they would hand their fate into the results of other matches.

Keeping this in mind, here is the COC predicted playing XIs for the LSG v RR match.

LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS

Lucknow Super Giants are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs and if they win both of their remaining matches, they might end up cementing one of the top two spots.

LSG | BCCI-IPLKL Rahul and Quinton de Kock have given LSG good starts, and Deepak Hooda has done well after being promoted to the no.3 spot. Karan Sharma is expected to get one more chance while Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, and Jason Holder have held the key to LSG’s success in the tournament.

One more reason LSG has been amazing in IPL 2022 is that they have picked wickets upfront thanks to Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan and now Mohsin Khan, as all of them have impressed everyone with their pace and bowling acumen.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

RR are also in contention of qualifying for the playoffs but needs to win both of their matches to have less of a headache of making it into the final four. They can technically get in the playoffs even after losing both matches, but then they may have to rely on other results going their way.

Jos Buttler has been a beast with the bat for RR in IPL 2022 and along with Shimron Hetmyer has scored the bulk of runs for RR. While Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal have shown glimpses of form, RR will need them to come good against LSG to keep one foot in the playoffs boat.

RR | BCCI-IPLR Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have been Sanju Samson’s trump cards, with Kuldeep Sen and Prasidh Krishna have shown what pace can do. Trent Boult has taken wickets in the powerplay to help RR get ahead in the matches.

Now it's time that all of these things come together and help RR go into the playoffs unscathed.
