Ravindra Jadeja's IPL 2022 came to end due to a rib injury | BCCI-IPLIn what has been rumored as a rough parting, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) official Instagram handle unfollowed its ace all-rounder and former captain Ravindra Jadeja, fueling the speculations further.

On Wednesday, Ravindra Jadeja’s IPL 2022 came to an end as he was released from the CSK squad after he suffered a bruised rib during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Jadeja has left the bio-bubble and is headed back home, but there may be more to the story than what meets the eye. CSK's Instagram handle unfollowed Jadeja, triggering rumors of a possible rift between the franchise and the star all-rounder.

However, if CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan is to be believed, Jadeja was released purely on medical grounds.

IPL 2022: “He has typhoid or something like that” says Rishabh Pant about Prithvi Shaw

"Social media, I absolutely do not follow anything. I have no knowledge of what is going on there. What I can tell you is that from the management side, there has been no problem and whatever is there on social media, I'm not aware. Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK's scheme of things for the future, always.

Jaddu had an injury during the game against RCB and after that, he didn't play the game against Delhi Capitals. On medical advice, it has been decided that he cannot participate further in this IPL and he is heading back home. He has been released,” Viswanathan told Indian Express.

Jadeja was the first player retained by CSK for INR 16 crores ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction and was then named captain of the team two days before the IPL 2022 began. However, his dismal performance as captain and the responsibility affecting his own performance, led to him relinquishing the captaincy back to Dhoni.
