IPL 2022: WATCH – ‘I have seen everything now’, Virat Kohli on his golden ducks in the ongoing IPL season

Kohli has recorded three golden ducks in the ongoing IPL season.

Virat Kohli | BCCI-IPLVirat Kohli’s lean patch has been one of the talking points in the ongoing IPL season. In 12 innings for RCB, he has managed only 216 runs at an average of 19.64 with one half-century.

The veteran batter was dismissed for a first-ball duck in RCB’s last fixture against SRH. It was his third golden duck in this year’s IPL. Kohli’s abysmal run can be understood by the fact that he had only three golden ducks to his name for the first 14 years of the tournament and he doubled the tally this season.

Commenting on his lean patch, Kohli on Wednesday (May 11) said he has never had to face a situation before the ongoing season where he got out for first-ball ducks more than once.

"First-ball ducks. After the second one (duck), I actually realised what It feels like to be like you (Mr Nags character), absolutely helpless. It hasn’t happened to me ever in my career, I think . I have seen everything now. It’s been so long, I have seen everything in this game," Kohli said during his light-hearted conversation with Danish Sait for RCB Insider.

Amid his struggles, there have been suggestions that Virat Kohli should take a break from the game to rejuvenate himself.

However, Kohli is not concerned about the opinion of experts and critics as he has been avoiding the "outside noise".

"They can’t be in my shoes. They can’t feel what I feel. They can’t live my life. They can’t live those moments. How do you cut out the noise? You either mute the TV or don’t pay attention to what people are saying. I do both those things," he added.

Virat Kohli will look to make his mark in the remaining matches of RCB. The Faf du Plessis-led side, currently occupying the fourth spot on the points table, is due to take on Punjab Kings in their next clash on May 13.
