IPL 2022: “I will be back in no time”- Suryakumar Yadav tells his fans

Suryakumar Yadav, the Mumbai Indians (MI) batter who was ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing IPL 2022 on Monday due to injury, has promised his supporters that he "would be back in no time" with their support and blessings.

Due to a left forearm muscle injury, Yadav will no longer take part in the has been ruled out of the rest of IPL 2022. The announcement was a disappointment for the Mumbai Indians, who were hoping to finish the campaign on a strong note after being formally eliminated from the playoff race.

The injury occurred during Mumbai's exciting five-run win over Gujarat Titans at the Brabourne Stadium on May 6, according to the tournament's advisory. Yadav was one of four players retained by the five-time IPL champions for the 2022 season.

But Yadav was optimistic about his return on Monday, thanking his supporters for their well wishes and encouragement.

"With all your wishes and support, I will be back in no time."Suryakumar Yadav said in a tweet on Monday.

"To my Mumbai Indians family, I will be cheering for you from the other side, this time. Let's finish the tournament on a high note and display our true character on the field," he wrote in the tweet. Mumbai Indians were defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders by 52 runs, despite his support from outside the bio-bubble.

Yadav missed Mumbai's first two matches against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals while recovering from a hairline fracture he got while fielding in India's home T201 series against West Indies in Kolkata in February.

Yadav, 31, was one of Mumbai's few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing season, scoring 303 runs in eight matches at an average of 43.29 and a strike rate of 145.67, including three half-centuries.
