Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was present at the Brabourne stadium when Mumbai Indians registered their second win of the ongoing IPL 2022 as they defeated the no.1 spot holders Gujarat Titans in a thrilling encounter.

Daniel Sams proved to be the hero this time as he defended 9 runs against David Miller in the last over. This was after he had been clobbered for 35 runs in an over by Pat Cummins during the Mumbai Indians-Kolkata Knight Riders encounter a month back.

This win was special as despite being out of the race of playoffs, the five-time champions showed great heart and skill to keep fighting against a very potent GT side.

After being asked to bat first by Hardik Pandya, MI put on 177/6 with Rohit Sharma (43), Tim David (44*) and Ishan Kishan (45) being the major contributors. In reply, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill hit half-centuries and Hardik Pandya and David Miller tried their best to take GT over the line.

However, Daniel Sams kept his cool and bowled some brilliant slow deliveries to keep Miller from hitting the big one and won the game for MI by 5 runs.

Meanwhile, Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh was every MI fan on Friday night. He burst into a wild celebration in the stands as MI scripted their second consecutive win on the trot.
