This will be an interesting encounter between the two sides, and here is the Team COC predicted playing XIs for the LSG v KKR match.
LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have been working like a well-oiled machine and have gotten their playing XI sorted out as well. While KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock have given them very good starts, the best thing they did was replacing Manish Pandey with a bowler and this enabled Deepak Hooda to bat at 3 and he notched scores of 34 off 28 balls and 52 off 34 balls.
However, the middle order of the LSG team is still under firing and this may come back to bite them. Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, and Jason Holder need to put their hands up when it comes to batting as well.
Bowling-wise LSG is golden with Dushmantha Chameera, Mohsin Khan, and Ravi Bishnoi leading from the front, and LSG might further strengthen the bowling attack by bringing in Avesh Khan for K Gowtham, which might weaken batting a bit.
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS
KKR has ended their five-match losing streak with a seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals, but there is no end to their problems. Despite numerous permutations and combinations, their openers are just not having a good time in the middle. Aaron Finch has gotten a long rope, but besides a fifty, he hasn’t done much.
Shreyas Iyer has been their best batter, while they have even dropped their two retained players in Venkatesh Iyer and Varun Chakravarthy as apart from Sunil Narine, none of the other bowlers have shown consistency. Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh have given some solace to the batting.
Pat Cummins might get a chance again, if he is fit, while Umesh Yadav’s wicket-taking run at the beginning of innings has waned off, hurting KKR a lot. It might be true to say that KKR would want to continue with their winning combination against LSG.
