IPL 2022: WATCH- Shubman Gill unhappy with Sandeep Sharma after being run out; Twitter reacts

Shubman Gill was run out for 9 runs | TwitterGujarat Titans (GT) opener Shubman Gill was an unhappy man after he got run out as he thought the Punjab King (PBKS) bowler Sandeep Sharma came in his path of running, during the 48th match of the IPL 2022 on May 3.

Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose that GT will bat first, deviating from their strategy of chasing. Both the teams went in unchanged from their previous matches.

However, Shubman Gill was the first wicket to fall, making 9 runs off 6 balls, as he was run out going for a non-existent run in the third over of the innings bowled by Sandeep Sharma. He pushed the ball to covers and set off for the run, but Rishi Dhawan was quick to pounce on it and threw the stumps down with a direct hit.

After the dismissal, Gill was upset with the bowler, as he had to run around Sandeep Sharma and thought that he got out after losing a valuable second due to him coming in his path. Following the direct hit, the bowler came towards Gill as both exchanged a few words but the situation remained under control.

GT ended up making 143/8 in their 20 overs with Sai Sudharsan scoring 65* in 50 balls and Wriddhiman Saha with 21 being the next best scorer. For PBKS, Kagiso Rabada with 4/33 was the pick of the bowlers.
