IPL 2022: Match 43, GT v RCB – COC Predicted Playing XIs

Brabourne Stadium will host the match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

GT are leading the IPL 2022 points table while RCB are occupying the fifth spot | BCCI/IPLThe 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will see Gujarat Titans (GT) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday (April 30).

While the Bangalore-based franchise is coming into this game with a 29-run loss at the hands of Rajasthan Royals (RR), the Titans are on a winning spree in the ongoing IPL season, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last encounter by five wickets.

RCB will look to get back to winning ways whereas GT will aim to carry their domination when both teams will square off at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Ahead of the game, Team COC presents to you the Predicted playing XIs of Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Gujarat Titans have won 7 out of their 8 games so far | BCCI/IPLGujarat Titans are unlikely to disrupt the winning combination even though their batting collapsed during a nervy win over SRH.

Wriddhiman Saha played a brilliant knock of 42-ball 45 against the Sunrisers while chasing 195 and he should open the innings alongside Shubman Gill.

Captain Hardik Pandya has been in a fine form and he is likely to hold the No. 3 batting position, followed by David Miller and Abhinav Manohar.

Spin-bowling all-rounders, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan, pulled off a heist for GT with the bat in the last game and they are a certainty in the playing XI.

Coming to the pace department, Gujarat Titans have a lot of choices but they won’t disturb the winning combination. International stars such as Mohammad Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson will feature in the attack along with the uncapped left-arm pacer Yash Dayal.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB have won 5 out of their 9 games so far | BCCI/IPLRCB’s batting line-up, especially their top-order, has failed miserably in the last two games as they have been bowled out for 68 and 115.

After the 68 all-out against SRH, RCB axed Anuj Rawat from the playing XI and promoted former skipper Virat Kohli to open the innings and brought Rajat Patidar at No. 3 versus RR. However, the move didn’t work out as Kohli and Patidar fell for 9 and 16 respectively.

Despite the poor show, Royal Challengers Bangalore are likely to stick with the same composition against GT. Kohli will open the batting alongside captain Faf du Plessis, followed by Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed and wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik.

RCB’s bowlers were impressive in the last game, restricting RR to 144/8 in 20 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga will play as a specialist spinner while Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj will form the pace attack.
